A knife range created on the edges of France and GabonIn Port-Gentil, Gabon, the Tara-mé hotel offers mixed cooking styles, blending traditional, national and classic French cuisine. Inspired by the richness of the hotel’s cultural diversity, Hekla has conceived knives for the restaurant. This mixing of styles is visible in the materials chosen. The handle of the knife is made in six different Gabonese wood type, such as rosewood, walnut or bilinga. The blades are manufactured in Thiers, the French cutlery capital. These two parts are closely linked. Engraved with the hotel’s seal, the blade is the natural extension of the handle. Its elegant outline breaks with the aggressiveness of a traditional meat carving knife.-Photo credit : Maxime Dubois
