Bordeaux’s Thai restaurant Pitaya has opened a number of franchise all around France due to its local success. Hekla was given the mission of thinking out Pitaya’s new marketing concept, rethinking its architectural scheme, furniture and corporate identity.
Since every restaurant must remain unique and original, Hekla has imagined a concept offering many possibilities. Thanks to a coherent building logic and an urban ambiance, the franchised restaurant remains true to the Bangkok style. Raw materials like concrete, wood and steel depict the modern style of the capital. The wall’s fresco and the hanging crate show the turmoil of Asian streets. The main desk stages the food preparation while marking out a visual limit between the kitchen and dining room. The custom-made furniture and the variety of seats coherently integrate the space.Hekla moves away from classic Asian restauration codes to turn it into a stronger concept, having its roots in a less traditional urban dimension.
